UMN invites Dr. K . B. Rokaya in its peace training programme as speacial guest, 26 October 07
Tuesday 13th of November 2007 [ ???????, ??????? २७, २०६४ ]

United Mission to Nepal invited Dr. K.B. Rokaya as the chief guest in the inaugural session of  its  'Trainers Training on Local Capacity for Peace' programme  held in Godavary Village Resort  Kathmandu from 26 October-6 November which was participated by the delegates from Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and Nepal.

Dr. Rokaya was asked to speak on 'The challenges of Human Rights and Peace building in Nepal'. 

In his inaugural speech Dr. Rokaya emphasized on the need for the churches in South Asia to wake up and become actively involved in addressing the main issues which the people of this region are facing and struggling with. He added that the election of the constituent assembly in Nepal is not an end in itself, but only a means to achieve what the people of Nepal are struggling and sacrificing their life for.

 

 

On the occasion, the organizers presented a letter of appreciation for his role in peace making.
